Beth recently graduated from Leeds Beckett University where she won the undergraduate ‘Best Written Study Award’ for her dissertation ‘Mitigating the Impacts of a Future Pandemic through Urban Landscape Design’. Beth has a keen interest in social value and sustainable urban design.
After several years working in General Management and Business Development within the hospitality industry, Beth decided to retrain inspired by the prospect of a career that could bring wider community benefit; improving health, wellbeing and prosperity through the creation of effective and meaningful designs.

At PWP Design, she has begun to take an active role in public consultation events and is developing her design and 3D rendering skills working on a vast range of PWP Design projects.

Jordan recently graduated from Leeds Beckett University. After studying Geography and Product Design at college, Landscape Architecture seemed like the best of both worlds for Jordan, combining his love for design and the natural world. After a successful ‘speed mentoring’ placement for Jordan at PWP Design, he has joined for a full year out position to enhance his skills and learn from the array of experience around him.

Jordan looks forward to the opportunities that will present themselves over the coming year and developing his skills and knowledge through many different projects.

Joanna has joined PWP Design for her year in industry before returning back to The University of Sheffield to complete her Masters in Landscape Architecture. Joanna has a passion for designing sustainable landscapes and connecting people to places.
This year Joanna will gain hands-on experience and immerse herself in the real-world complexities of designing and creating outdoor spaces that are both functional and aesthetic.

Joanna is developing her skills in the software; AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp and Lumion.

Nick started his career in London gaining experience in commercial practice, local authorities and for a Chelsea winning garden designer. Following several years working abroad in France and Canada Nick returned to the UK and settled in Yorkshire. After retraining in horticulture and working for a large plant nursery, Nick returned to Landscape Architecture and worked in private practice, with particular experience in residential, healthcare and private garden design. Nick joined PWP Design to combine these skills and now works across our commercial and garden design projects. When he is not working you will find him out walking in the Yorkshire Wolds.

Samantha comes from a creative background in Interior Design with over 15 years’ experience in a range of commercial and domestic interiors and has recently retrained as Garden Designer. She brings a wide range of experience with her from working with architects, housing developers and clients, and is looking forward to developing her design skills within the PWP Design team.

Samantha supports on our garden design projects, including design consultations with clients, development of concept designs, presentation work, material specifications and detailed designs for site implementation. Her knowledge of creating inspiring interior spaces has encouraged her to want to extend this to the outdoor room and help clients to extend their home by creating an inviting outdoor space.

Rachel retrained as a Landscape Architect after a completing a first degree in history and working in Project Management and Quality Improvement for the NHS. This experience has contributed to her drive to create landscapes which improve health and well-being and celebrate heritage.
Rachel worked for a garden design practice based in the Cotswolds before joining PWP Design, which has given her a keen interest in planting design and the creation of climate-resilient schemes.

Rachel supports on a diverse range of PWP Design projects, including LVA, residential/commercial development and public realm.

Cara transitioned into the world of Landscape Architecture after first studying Geography at university – an academic foundation which provides her with a unique and specialist perspective on her work. Cara has previously been involved in the Landscape Institute’s Advisory Council and its Yorkshire & Humber branch, where she has gained a broad knowledge of the profession and the frameworks which are shaping its future. In her role at PWP Design, Cara has honed her skills in design, graphics, visualisation and 3D modelling, making her a well-rounded team member.

Beatrice is an accomplished Landscape Architect who has been an integral part of PWP Design since 2020. With a passion for the natural environment at all scales, Beatrice embraces the exciting and varied projects that flow through PWP Design. Beatrice enjoys teamwork, collaborating seamlessly with the in-house team, clients, and industry experts to create innovative solutions that are not only functional but also beautiful and experiential. Alongside a senior role across our portfolio of Landscape Architecture projects, Beatrice is also our Garden Design Manager.

In this position she focuses on providing an exceptional service for our domestic clients from concept design through to detailed design packs. Beatrice revels in the challenge of finding unique design solutions when presented with demanding briefs and transforming abstract concepts into exciting realities.

Roger is a creative and proactive Landscape Architect with over a decade of experience working for award winning practices. He has led a broad range of challenging projects from conceptual design through to implementation across a variety of sectors including public realm, urban regeneration, residential, education, masterplanning, leisure, commercial, security, transport and flood alleviation.

Roger is a forward thinking and adaptable designer, with first rate graphical, written and verbal presentation skills and sharp attention to detail that complement original ideas on all PWP Design projects.

Lucy is an accomplished Landscape Architect, with over 15 years’ experience working for various practices throughout the UK. Lucy has excellent interpersonal and communication skills, that enable reliable and fully collaborative working relationships both within the PWP Design team and wider project design teams. Simon Hall CMLI


Design Director Simon Hall CMLI is heavily involved in every project. He has vast landscape architecture experience, working on complex, high profile, multi-disciplinary projects. He brings our clients the imagination and skills for any type and scale of project. Simon has helped a wide variety of clients across all sectors, from strategy and concept, through to gaining planning permission, detailed design and overseeing implementation. He is adept at advocating the benefits of quality design and supporting clients through the process. Simon spent five influential years working in Chicago, USA, specialising in creating riverside parks, streetscapes and healing landscapes. This was followed by ten years at a private practice in Leeds, with his designs built at MediaCityUK, Leeds Dock, Worksop Market Square and Northumberland Park. During this time he also led the design of the Rhubarb Crumble and Custard Garden, which won People’s Choice at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show in 2010. Simon founded PWP Design in 2015 and is incredibly proud of the landscape architecture practice we have become and of everyone who has been part of our team.
